My father’s commitment to justice was deeply rooted in his faith. His ministry, his methodology of nonviolence, and his movement work were not separate from what he believed. They were an expression of it.
At a time when misinformation about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s faith continues to spread, When Faith Calls offers an important opportunity to go deeper. This upcoming six episode docuseries from The King Center explores how faith helped shape the Civil Rights Movement and how that witness still calls us to courageous, justice centered action today.
When faith calls, courage is the answer.
Stay tuned for more updates on the premiere and what is ahead.

When you face obstacles that look too big—you don’t have the resources, the experience, the connections—instead of doubting and giving up, dare to say, “God, You defeated those giants in the past. Defeat this giant.” Let that be your declaration. Check out this powerful message, "He'll Do It Again." https://t.co/kNnMjb1SU6
In those difficult times, instead of complaining, thinking about how bad life is, try a new approach. “God, You did it for Job; I know You’ll do it again for me. You brought him out better than before. Lord, I want to thank You that I’m coming out better.” Faith gets God’s attention. Be inspired by this message from Joel, "He'll Do It Again". https://t.co/v5OAg8hxlL
We had a BUSY #MLKDAY - a highlight included our annual #PeaceWalk w/ the @PPD12Dist in honor of Rev. Paul Earthquake Moore! We won’t only rest in peace, we will live in peace in #SouthwestPhilly! ❤️🌸🙏🏾
You don’t understand it now, but when it’s all said and done, you’re going to come out with greater influence, greater honor, greater resources. You'll be an example of God’s goodness. But that wouldn’t have happened if God had done it your way. Why don’t you surrender the outcome.
God cancelled your
plans to save your life. He sent you the other direction to avoid danger. He fights battles you know nothing about. His plan is better than yours. He’s a good good God! 🙌🏽
If you don’t learn to surrender the outcome, life is going to be frustrating. You’ll end up discouraged because God’s ways are not our ways. There are doors you may want to open, but God is keeping them closed because what you want is too small. It will limit your destiny.
