This would be a good time for folks to study the Galatian heresy. Beware when people redefine true belief to be Jesus + their own standard/practice of righteousness. That’s messin with the gospel. Our convictions, as important as they are, don’t make us Christians. Christ does.

We’re not called to faith in Christians. We are called to faith in Christ. If “Christian leaders” can cause us to shrink back from Christ, our faith was in leaders, not in Jesus. Everyone will fail to be Jesus but Jesus. We’re all up in everybody’s business but His. He’s not us.

We need so many things. But perhaps most of all we need a fresh awakening of faith. We need to be people who believe that, if Jesus wills it & we’ll avail ourselves to it, He will do it. We are not weak enough to undercut His strength. We just bow to Him & give Him our weakness.
