@oelma__ I worked as a waitress to get through college. I think 25% is ridiculous. Standard was 15%. The costs of meals has risen with inflation so 15% seems like a good amount. What's the excuse to jack it up to 25%? I don't want to eat their overly salted, gross food anyway.
@World_aib Everyone is concerned about this child. Why aren't we just as concerned about all the Muslim girls and women being treated violently by the men in their lives?
@Jacqueline13558@TravelDestiny10 I wondered why Charles and William embraced Islam. Do they really believe the monarchy will survive an Islamic takeover?
@brown_norm56528@AmericaRecharge Two brothers in a medieval system that makes one a billionare and the the other doing anything for funds to support a lifestyle he was raised to expect. How is this fair?

Dear @Delta at @mspairpor,
I am NOT a person to bash anyone . Not even a company and especially not publicly. THIS is important. Not only is it important to me and my family, but for future families of children with any disability.
We’ve had a long day of travel. We’re at 16 hours with 2 kids. 7 hour plane delay for maintenance + this particular flight was also delayed a bit.
Jackson, age 3 who has ACTA-1 related Nemaline Myopathy. He is physically disabled. He just took his first steps a month ago (we’re so proud) - can’t walk for long and fatigues fast. Gtube fed, and many other underlying conditions. Multiple surgeries, many extra needs, makes traveling a bit harder but we utilize pre-boarding for those with disabilities and it has always helped our family. We also travel with a 1 year old lap child- Jackson’s little brother, Will.
I noticed right when we got to the gate and before we were pre-boarding that the attendant helping people was cranky. Not kind and mean to multiple other passengers. I actually told my husband this before we even had an interaction with her.
We went to pre-board as usual when they call for disabilities or those who need extra time (we have never in 3 years had issues with any airline)
This woman immediately stopped us and said pre-boarding for disabilities was not for kids. We said Jackson was disabled with a muscular disease and we’ve never been denied because he is the physically disabled. She said loud and firmly “ONLY FOR WHEELCHAIRS” (which to me, inferred that you had to have a wheelchair to qualify for extra boarding time) when I said we board with disabilities due to his muscle disease and always have since we started flying with him without issue. Where I told her I have never been told that, tried to explain about his condition and she interrupted loudly “ONLY for wheelchairs!” While she pointed us to the back of the line and repeated herself over and over as I was trying to explain. I turned around FURIOUS and told John “She is a b****” and made sure she heard it. NOT my proudest moment. I’ve never been denied and told that my son’s disabilities didn’t qualify because he wasn’t in a wheelchair. This is when she told me if I said it again she’d throw me off the plane. So, I didn’t speak.
I immediately went to the attendant next to her who informed me he was the supervisor on the floor. Initially, he was rude and backing her up until I told them how absolutely wrong this was, my son shouldn’t be denied, our family shouldn’t be denied just because he was not in a wheelchair. Then the profuse apologize on his end came. This was a “miscommunication” he said.
Not a miscommunication. A woman who looked at my son, didn’t see a disability (some are obvious but not unless you actually look) so denied us. Did not listen to us. I could not explain. She was yelling at me and telling me to go so she could board everyone else.
It was a big scene, everyone was watching, helping us get out of the way of others boarding.
We were told it was against their policy to give her name.
I did not know Delta Airlines required that I had to explain my child’s disability in such depth (per this woman’s request). I did not know that Delta Airlines required a person to have a wheelchair to be disabled (As this woman said)
No one. No child. No parent. should ever be treated like this woman treated us. It’s hard enough traveling with children, harder traveling w/medical needs& disabilities, and to be treated this way ESPECIALLY in front of our children. In front of our child who lives with this disability… I did not think I had to advocate for my son and our family at an airport.
I will not publicly share either names of the attendants to anyone other than Delta themselves. But being told that nothing can be done for this situation is insanity.
