Congratulations to our First Year Teacher of the Year, Ms. Xiomerra Beverly. She is an awesome teacher and nobody would believe this is her first year. We’re so glad she’s part of our LBC family! #lbclionpride1920
Our LBC GEM nomination couldn’t have gone to a more deserving employee than my friend Julie Spires. She can do just about any job in our school, and she does them all very well. Congratulations Mrs. Spires! #lbclionpride1920
Today our LBC Student Council and Distinguished Youth groups visited Hitchcock Place and Anchor Rehab. We sang Christmas carols and gave socks to the residents. It was a truly humbling experience watching our kids interact with the elderly. These children made us proud.
Thank you to LBC students and staff for donating 738 canned food items to the needy. Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church picked them up this morning just in time for Thanksgiving.#lionpride1920
LBC hosted the school board meeting tonight. Mrs. Jenkins, Mrs. Smoak, Mr. Spadaro, Kyndal and Lylah did an excellent job with their presentations highlighting all the assets of our school.#lbclionpride1920
LBC’s Veteran’s Day celebration was special. Our very own 6th grade guidance counselor, Mrs Crews, shared her military career experience. Chorus and band performed beautifully, as did our student speakers and the Midland Valley High NJROTC.#lbc1920
I would like to thank all the LBC families and Brian Silas for making this Day of Caring Mt Salem Outreach Ministry for Men toiletry drive event such a huge success. Thank you also to our awesome student council for helping deliver those items today! #DayOfCaringACPSD#LBC1920
LBC enjoyed the kids and the camaraderie at the One Team Pep Rally today. We especially enjoyed our district leaders get into the spirit as they danced around in their circus attire. Aiken County Public School System is the Greatest Show on Earth. #lionpride2020
First day back included breakfast and lunch provided by PTO, escape room icebreakers, orientation and small group training, culminating with ice cream provided by Mr. Spadaro and his wife. LBC is always the place to be! #lionpride2020
The 8th Grade Social was a fabulous way for our upper classmates to spend one last night together. This group behaved beautifully and looked beautiful as well. #WhyITeachlbc#AffecttheCulture#lionpride2019
It was a beautiful night of the performing arts at LBC. Mrs Culp’s drama and orchestra students out did themselves. I am so proud of these talented young people. #WhyITeachLBC#affecttheculture#lionpride2019
We finished our Future Mustangs field trips to Midland Valley high school today. Our senior tour guides were super helpful and informative. The teachers in the classrooms we visited were very kind and welcoming. Thank you Midland Valley.#lionpride2019
Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs.Greene's students enjoyed watching the Jessica Lang Dance Company perform at the Aiken Community Playhouse yesterday. They behaved like the ladies and gentlemen that they are. In addition, they will write reflections on this experience in English class.
Our LBC Black History program today was phenomenal! We had poem recitations, historians, musicians, singers and dancers. The performers made us both laugh and cry.
