“Never just order ‘a beer’ “. No guru but I love drinking beer and writing about it. See me also at LondonBiermeister on Bluesky, tomsmith9639 on Insta
@pieceofmind03 Metallica’s first go at trolling us (see also St Anger, Lulu). A couple of world beating songs, but overall a massive step back from Master of Puppets. And can we just chill about the Black Album - the fact that the peasants also liked it doesn’t take away from the awesomeness
Slight update to my "July" blog of visits with my @BeerPassportUK to include my excellent visit to @BreweryPerivale on 31 July. https://t.co/rJH5H7L7D5
@williams_pd@BeerPassportUK It’s good isn’t it? Like I said to Bill behind the bar, some are just lagers which are black but this has a more interesting flavour altogether. Have you been to Bohem’s other places?
Latest @BeerPassportUK stop off is one of my locals - Bohem at the Queens Arms. Lager done the Czech way. And they are getting even better - the solid core range plus this amazing rich black lager and a funky horseradish (!) lager. Amazing guest beers too.
@PhilJones33 Yeah, 100% agree on the anthem thing. We (England) don’t own GSTK, the UK does. And everyone should rewatch @Billy_Connolly on the subject.
Hey @surreycricket , the landlord / brewer at Brightwater in Claygate would love to get his amazing beer into the Long Room. He’s a big cricket fan and generally would fit perfectly with the Long Room Real Ale Bar values. Worth a look when you next have a space.
A bit of time to kill between day and evening so revisiting one of my @BeerPassportUK favourites- @LondonBeerLab . Completely on form with their “nano” small batch brews - a black IPA, a Belgian dubbel, a session IPA with sichuan pepper, a cherry ice cream sour.. wow
@TheParkBrewery@surreycricket@englandcricket Enjoyed a morning that was fascinating in a way that only someone who has endured a lot of Test Cricket will appreciate. Now relaxing with a pint of Park Brewery Killcat in the Long Room
@MaxJLHardy I have often wondered if we could do a deal - they change that bit and we formally renounce the “rebellious Scots to crush” verse of God save the King
