Na why I dey resist the urge to associate with some kind niggas, especially the ones wey actually know say them guide pass me, ka mmadu ghari ikpari ibe ya.
Them go come online dey shout bro code upandan, but whenever them dey for bar, them go Dey treat waiters like sub humans
Na from the way guys dey treat people wey them pass I take dey choose who to follow. Na money you get pass your fellow man, you no be God.
Later them go say women na classists but deep down, na their own classism worse pass
Let me change this to my own story:
Broke for many years.
Business failed repeatedly.
Lost millions trying again.
Lost my job at 50.
Started over at 50.
Built my first billion-naira business in my 50s.
Crossed ₦2 billion in cumulative sales at 54.
Don’t underestimate what God can do with your life — or how quickly the story can change.
“...I will do to you the very thing I heard you say.” — Numbers 14:28
Speak life. Speak faith. Keep working. 🙏🏿
Today's Prayer ✝️
Lord, Thank You for bringing me to the end of another week. Thank You for every blessing, every lesson, and even the difficult moments that brought me closer to You. Give me the courage to face whatever remains before me. When I feel tired, renew me. When I feel discouraged, remind me that my strength comes from You. Help me release what I cannot control and trust You with what I cannot understand. Let me finish this week with You by my side. Amen.
Until death, no defeat is final. Every defeat is psychological until you decide to surrender.
You may lose money, opportunities, relationships, positions, businesses, or seasons of your life. You may fall harder than you ever imagined. But as long as you are alive, the story is not finished.
Sometimes, the biggest battle is not what happened to you, but what you tell yourself about what happened.
Fall. Grieve. Learn. Restart.
As long as there is breath in you, there is still another chapter to write.
I'm now 31. I can't work as a graduate trainee in most banks or Fintech in Nigeria due to age.
Their criteria is always;
> below 27
> NYSC certificate
>2.1
> atleasg 1yr experience
But if I manage to stay alive till 75yrs, when my brain cells will need more sleep then I'll be more than qualified to be the president of Nigeria that will determine the existence of any bank or industry in the country.
A single Policy made by President Tinubu on May 29th 2023 threw over 30million people below poverty line.
He doesn't have a first class.
He didn't go to any university.
He's not young.
But he's qualified to rule Nigeria because the criteria to rule Nigerians is to be dubious and incompetent.
Make it make sense
We designed a system to have the best in Private sectors and the worst in Politics running the Affairs of the entire nation.
Judicious in Micro economics but dastardly stupid in macroeconomic conditions.
Mr Banks, who couldn't afford ₦5,000 to buy foodstuffs in 2020, can now afford $5 million in 2026 to buy a Cybertruck.
The guy he begged for ₦5,000 that year, he now rewards him with ₦5 million in 2026.
This also takes me back to my friend, who came to my house in 2015 to borrow my Toyota Matrix 2005, so he could visit his then-fiancée's mother, in the suburbs of Ikorodu.
When he returned, my car was faulty, even though I had given it to him in good condition. I called mechanics and consulted almost every expert I could find, but nobody could fix it for three weeks. It wasn't until we employed the services of a car diagnostic engineer that we discovered it was a brain box problem.
Throughout this period, which lasted almost a month, he didn't call or ask what was wrong with the car he had borrowed. I paid for everything myself, and eventually got a new brainbox.
I was only pissed off because he didn't call to show any concern. I called and told him I wasn't happy about that. Even after I fixed it, a few months later, he still borrowed it for his introduction ceremony, and I didn't decline.
Today, he is one of the biggest clearing agents on Tin Can Island, Apapa. His business has earned him nothing less than five houses in the heart of Apapa. He also owns three warehouses in Egbeda, which he bought outrightly.
The last time he came visiting, during my first child's naming ceremony, he saw that I was using a 2009 Toyota Camry. He told me I was too big to be driving that kind of car and that he knew I wouldn't speak up even when I needed something.
The next day, he called, and asked to meet him in Magodo. He bought me a 2023 Toyota Camry, which my wife now drives.
After some time, I asked myself: What if I had listened to the people who advised me to stop lending him my car after he returned it faulty? Would he have thought about me this way today?
Kindness and human investment are the greatest forms of investment. They can yield returns that even Dangote's IPO shares may not match. If you keep getting it clear, keep using it to clear road for people who are in dire needs around you, without expecting nothing in return.
Sometimes, the people you help when they have nothing are the same people who remember you when they have everything.
Some people will distance themselves from you and lie about you to other people for the sake of consoling themselves, when in reality they are simply running away from the fact that you're the only person who actually told them the truth and held them accountable...
Due to the fact that nobody hates you more than a person who knows that they let you down, but their ego won't allow them to come to terms with the truth, so in order to save face and maintain their social stance, they'll come up with lies in order to paint you as the villain for the sake of dodging accountability...
Which in hindsight, reveals to you that the levels of truth that a person is able to handle reveals the strength of their character...
The deeper the truth, the more you realise the true level of their mental and emotional strength...
Which reveals to your consciousness what you're realistically dealing with...
Normally before you get to age 25 you suppose don get at least 2 buildings in your name and a stable source of income.
But to even afford 2square meals feels impossible. This isn’t the plan at all 💔
