Judicial decisions appear to be getting slower, longer, and more complex. What courts and judges should do to solve this problem is far from clear, like should we give judges more writing time.
Some of my thoughts now published in the @DalhousieLJ.

@RobCurrieMusic They tried to plead him out for third degree murder (10+ years), but the deal required federal sign-off and Bill Barr wouldn’t do so because, reportedly, he was worried about backlash from protesters for being too lenient: https://t.co/aQY7tTWOIU
I take back all the jokes I've told about lawyers' awards. Feeling grateful for the recognition and lucky as ever to work with, and learn from, this crew!
.@LaxOSullivan is delighted to be, once again, recognized by @thelegal500 as a Tier-1 Firm in Dispute Resolution, “a first-class litigation boutique” with “some of the best trial lawyers in the country”. Congrats to our Lawyers! https://t.co/vqdIreKGeh

@legalwritingpro One can allege that a legal theory applies. But here: “Purported” > “supposed” >>> “alleged”. But never “allegedly”. That’s incoherent.
“As we move forward from this crisis, let’s dare to raise our expectations for our legal system. After all, it’s the backbone of our democracy. We, too, can have one of the finest justice systems in the world.”
Very proud to be part of this team of ace litigators, and going back-to-back as Ontario’s litigation firm of the year. Using all my self-restraint to not drop Drake lyrics.
.@LaxOSullivan is proud to support @CovenantHouseTO, which supports homeless, trafficked, and at-risk youth in the City. Our team (Lars, Ryann, Michael, Vlad, Meghan and Hiwi) is busy preparing. Visit https://t.co/gUxY05qlRY to support our team and make a donation. #gutsgloryTO
A major congrats to @LaxOSullivan's Rising Star, the Twitter-less Matt Law, who nearly made it all the way across the stage last night before being chirped by @CBCSuhana about looking 14 years old.
@StephenMarche@davidfrum@TheAtlantic The fact that you don’t acknowledge—in either the original or updated version—that 38.5% of the number includes only partially kept promises, is a self-serving dodge in what is otherwise a thoughtful piece.
Very proud of my friend Dave @TheBikingLawyer for his tireless advocacy in the civil justice system to expand redress available to injured cyclists in this City.
His website is full of useful legal information for cyclists: https://t.co/Qe4PP4WFkp

I am really proud of my clients for standing up & sharing their stories of vehicular assault and road rage. They inspire me.
Tune in to @CBCNews tonight at 6:30 for coverage of their harrowing stories!
