@rebeccaperrotto Also, when ready, look up Helping Parents Heal. There’s a main group online and affiliate groups, including one for those of us with a child who’s passed of cancer. There’s also online affiliates just for dads and siblings. May you feel profound grace now and in the future… 💞
@rebeccaperrotto@rebeccaperrotto, I am just so sorry. I know that pain of missing from experience. My oldest son passed of a cancer several years ago. The most helpful thing anyone told me was to watch for signs from my son. They were there right away. Keep talking to Liv - and meditate. 💔
@rebeccaperrotto Holding Liv, you, and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I know this Calvary you’re living; I and my family have lived it. What a beautiful message Liv blessed you with. (I see a future tattoo with the words, “Mom, the best one in the world.”) May you feel grace now…
@ellielexx “Go, Mom. It’s okay; you’ll be glad you did.” He was right. I went and had a nice time. Oh, I had my moments about the time he’d passed on that date. But a friend - someone I’d hardly known in school - sat with me until the moment passed. It has become a special memory for me…
@ellielexx As someone else who has a child who has passed (of a cancer), go to your uni reunion if you want! You and your friends will be glad you did. I almost passed up a class reunion because it was on my son’s rebirth-day date, but I could hear Brandon saying,

@shitscaredmum An online group that I’ve found helpful is Helping Parents Heal. Within it are several “subgroups,” including one just for dads and one just for siblings. May you feel Grace throughout this holiday season…
End
@shitscaredmum My heart goes out to you as I have felt as you feel about smiling and laughing, yet I know my oldest son wants me to smile and laugh. His passing left a deep black hole in my heart. That hole will always be there, but now light flows dynamically in and out of that hole. 1
Your baby’s favorite toy might just be a baby of their own.
Here’s why:
As your little one begins to engage in imaginary play, they don’t begin in far off lands… and don’t role play as princesses, firefighters, or astronauts.
All that will come later.
Where they start is with what they know and who they love.
So don’t be surprised when they begin role playing as YOU. It can be a humbling mirror, for sure.
But I’d say this little guy’s parents have a lot to be proud of.
Watch carefully as our hero shows off all his best parenting tricks, gently patting and cuddling his baby doll, speaking face-to-face, and even supporting its neck.
What you’re seeing here is a reflection of his day-to-day reality and the tender caretaking of his own most important role models.
Isn’t that beautiful?

@shitscaredmum Holding space for you as a mum who has been in your place… In tears reading your Tweet, remembering those days and the good days and now feeling my son with me in a different way…
@shitscaredmum Holding you in my thoughts and prayers during this sacred time. Hi have been through it with my oldest son and 2 months ago with my husband. The name of your Twitter account says it all… 💕
