Assistance was requested from Northwest Fire and Elsberry Fire due to not having fire hydrants in the area. 🚒

Moments ago firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools (“Jaws of Life”) to rescue a trapped person from a vehicle.
Highway U is closed for an extended period of time while tow trucks remove the vehicles.

Firefighters spent the afternoon training on vehicle extrication techniques! Firefighters often have to use rescue tools such as the “Jaws of Life” to free trapped victims after a vehicle accident. #InsideLCFPD
