After suffering a fall at home and later experiencing fainting episodes related to low blood pressure, Yvette found herself relying on the East Jefferson team once again during her recovery.

Dr. Tanner-Sanders specializes in prenatal care, delivery services, routine gynecologic care, and reproductive health support. She earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine and serves as Assistant Clerkship Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, helping educate the next generation of physicians.

Through her work in the New Orleans community, Dr. Tanner-Sanders provides expert, patient-centered care while empowering women to make informed decisions about their health at every stage of life.

A licensed pharmacist with more than 23 years of experience, Dr. Reed serves as Board Chair of the American Heart Association Greater New Orleans and Zone Director for the National Pharmaceutical Association. Through her work in healthcare and advocacy, she is committed to improving cardiovascular health and addressing health disparities in communities.

After experiencing the personal impact of heart disease and facing her own cardiovascular health journey, Dr. Reed transformed her experience into a mission to empower others. Today, she teaches Black women over 40 how to manage high blood pressure through her **REFILL Strategy** framework and promotes strategic self-care as a tool for prevention.

Her dedication to heart health and community impact has been recognized through her involvement with the American Heart Association, including Woman in STEM, Woman of Impact Nominee, Caretaker of the Torch, Volunteer of the Year, and Circle of Red Member.
