Derrick noted that the final day was dedicated to turning ideas into action through the Solutions Lab and Innovation Marketplace, where young innovators would showcase community-driven climate solutions, connect with financiers, and receive mentorship to help transform ideas into scalable ventures.
He called on development partners, financiers, government, and the private sector to meet young innovators where they are, support them with patient capital and mentorship, and ensure that climate justice remains inclusive, resilience is shared, innovation is youth-led, grass-root organizations are funded, and no child or community is left behind.
