The Care Leavers Christmas Collection is set to be bigger than ever. Last year, we managed to deliver 400 gift bags to young people in care. But the truth is, local authorities simply don’t have the resources to provide gifts. Without the kindness of the public, too many young people will spend Christmas completely alone, with nothing at all to open.

I know exactly how that feels. At 16, I woke up on Christmas Day in a bedsit, completely on my own, with nothing but a pot noodle. No gifts. No family. No celebration. Just another day.

This is why your support matters so much. Together, we can make sure no young person in care is forgotten this Christmas.
