Today marks a historic moment for @LivoniaDistrict as we welcome our very first cohort of Criminal Justice Early Middle College students.

Cara Bishop, a SHS senior in Mrs. Vertin's Pre-Medicine class, has been awarded a full-ride scholarship from the Navy! She leaves next week to begin her journey to become an officer and a registered nurse. Cara will make great strides while obtaining her degree. Congrats Cara!

Lt. Sawyers, Engineer Valdez, and Firefighter Bias presented to the Criminal Justice students who were trained in fire extinguisher use and different types of suppression options. They used the jaws of life, different types of water systems, and saw features inside the "rig."

With a lot of hard work and dedication, Mrs. Vertin had 12 Pre-Medicine senior students pass their EKG Technician National Credential Exam! These students can now leave their program here at LCTC, enter the workforce, and perform as part of the field they have studied all year.

The 2023-24 Career and Skilled Trades Intern students celebrated with a dinner at DeLucas Restaurant. Students came together to share and say goodbye to a great year of experience and growth. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Nick LaLonde, FHS 2020 graduate and former LCTC Criminal Justice student, is sworn in as a police officer by the Westland Police Department. Nick successfully completed the police academy and will now begin a rigorous 28 week field training program.

Congratulations to four outstanding Computer Repair and Computer Security (CR/CS) class students, Mykola, Joe, Andrew, and Logan, for achieving their Testout PC Pro certification! This rigorous program assesses foundational knowledge & skills essential for IT support technicians.

The Advanced Sports Medicine students learned one last injury management skill this week when they were instructed on the proper steps required in order to safely spine board an injured athlete on the field!

Ms. Hinman's Pre-Med class is learning about the digestive system. Students participated in a lab that allowed them to experience first hand the digestive system process!

Thirty-nine senior sports medicine students are now credentialed young professionals as they obtained their Certified Physical Therapy Aide certification this week! Congrats everyone!!

Students in Animation/Web Design and Game Design traveled to the College for Creative Studies to participate in workshops on making assets for video games in blender as well as Adobe Substance painter. They learned the basics of animation fundamentals with Procreate.
