@BryonyKarasek1 @SamaHoole I understand 10k is a lot. But 10k vs losing 50k from your crop not yielding from lack of rain is a hard pill to swallow.
But it doesn’t quite occur to me now limited resources can be in the uk.
Hence why I asked the question.

@arab23 @SamaHoole Yea things are so much different in the states. We drill wells in the county and on farms/ homesteads. I’m sure farmers with 100s and 1000s of acres have things a little different but I’d rather spend $ on getting the water for when I need it then lose my yield and take a loss?

@pacgator77 @SamaHoole I’m in the south east. Where we normally get enough rain we don’t need to water very often. But this year if they didn’t use the irrigation systems they would have had dismal crops.
Spend the $ on water or risk losing your yield cuz of nature and take a major loss?
