GOP loves to insult my intelligence, yet offers *this* as their best + most seasoned opposition to my policy proposals.
If anything, this dude is a walking argument to tax misogyny at 100% 😉
Republicans rob everyone the opportunity of real policy debate by resorting to this.
”When my people have to eat from microwaves and boxes,” Mr. Tizya-Tramm continued, “then we will cost you in doctors, in medical expenses. We will cost you more than it’s worth for the 10 to 12 years of oil you can get from the Arctic Refuge.”

This article by the New York Times highlights inequalities found across the country in public education systems that serve communities of Native youth. These are areas rarely in the national spotlight. https://t.co/njKdiylwGe

@envir492 Author Vera Parham has provided a detailed history of Pan-Tribal activism in the Northwest which led to the @UIATF ultimately securing the land that Daybreak Star Cultural Center is now on. This book has been a great resource thus far.
@EarthCorps Nelson Salisbury (Lead Ecologist) from Earth Corps was generous enough to participate in not one, but two interviews regarding the restoration work he had done at Daybreak Star Cultural Center (@UIATF). His insight was incredibly helpful!

Evidently, It is actually pretty difficult to schedule multiple sit-down interviews. At least within my timeframe. I know. Everyone is busy. I'm super grateful from folks at #greenseattle, #NatureC and #EarthCorps and https://t.co/gZIvQLuaxL who made some time for a chat!
I met with the director of the Indigenous Wellness Research Institute (IWRI) today to discuss the history of Daybreak, restoration efforts, visions and youth involvement in restoration. She was incredibly helpful and generous with her time. @envir491 https://t.co/f44Pgmfr62

Machine house brewing held a talk on the dangers of eating fish from Duwamish river last night. There, I thought this issue parallels concerns of soil contamination around The Daybreak Star and desires to cultivate edible plants.

Though I couldn't make it to the last week's GSP shareholder's meeting, I am today, sifting through the presentations posted to glean what I can.
