Year 4 explored multiplication through real-life arrays found all around the school - like rows of windows, tiles and even classroom furniture! Using different manipulatives, they created their own arrays and had so much fun! @LDSMjuniorsch

Year 4 launch day turned our pupils into engineers! Building bridges, solving problems, testing ideas and getting creative. The children had so much fun through hands-on challenges! @LDSMjuniorsch @BrilliantBrick

Year 4 became pharaohs for the day! They created side portraits of themselves and transformed them into Ancient Egyptian rulers - complete with headdresses and hieroglyphics! @LDSMjuniorsch @LDSMyear3 @LDSMyear5 @LDSMyear6

Real Life Maths! Year 4 explored how the number 1,000 can be made using groups of 10 and hundreds in real-life contexts. We used liquid (ml), weight (g) and Dienes to help us understand place value and measurement. @LDSMjuniorsch @LDSMyear3 @LDSMyear5 @LDSMyear6

Today we had a visit from Kingston Mosque. Jan told us all about praying, the Qur’an and the Arabic alphabet. We really learned a lot! Thank you Jan!

Today we had an increadibly hot and exciting day @ReedsSchool! We got to try golf,tennis, football and cricket at their incredible grounds. What a great opportunity for us to try all these sports!

Today is #NationalNumeracyDay and year 4 were given £30 each to buy goodies for a pretend party! They had great fun shopping virtually on Tesco online.
