Eid Mubarak! 3/52 post @BAHNOOfficial 25 &this speech resonates now &a highlight of the 10y Ive been attending. Trauma shapes all our lives to a degree-passed down ancestrally till faced. Most dissociate, ‘productive’ yet Numb. Here is a call to action-back to urself &ur humanity

[BAHNO Head & Neck @BAHNOOfficial]

#BAHNO2025 Blair Hesketh lecture delivered by Baroness Helena Kennedy KC. An intellectually rigorous & deeply human address. A powerful reminder that the rule of law is not static-it must be actively defended and renewed.

To anyone who is shocked.
You all watched the same playbook happen for 2 y and said nothing.
Did nothing.
Watched lie after lie as Palestinians were slaughtered.
Gaza was the test.
You failed.
History repeats.
“If you tolerate this, then your children will be next”

[Marina Purkiss @MarinaPurkiss]

No sleep last night…

Can’t get that video out of my head

Can believe the lies being told to betray her even in death

Can’t believe the mindless lemmings that swallow them up

America is lost.

@Palestinedaily1 .

@RuthV_MD Surgical trainings based on avoidant approach- taught by men historically for men who suppress. ie put emotions in a box to ‘cope’ with cutting someone. This is not only false but dangerous &disconnects us from pts humanity & suffering lacking EQ capacity-sth we can learn/teach

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@adi_kumar1 Or in 2 words:- ‘temet Nosce’ . Ppl underestimate the weight & importance of what that means, that when we say ‘I do ,I think, I feel’ it (>90%) comes from our unconscious perception & ego fed by narratives given before birth & early childhood..if u kno yourself its easy.

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@RCSnews Being a surgeon &esp a leader means actively undoing unconscious biases we all hold &calling it out..EDI is more than just a tickbox. I note that @bota_uk President is introduced without a title- this is fine if when we do a 2 min scroll it applies equally.. receipts attached.

It's ok not to feel ok.

@dodiddydoo @doctor_rahmeh Come back to me when you’ve actively studied it for nearly a decade and perhaps we can pick this conversation back up again on even footing 👋🏽

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

Accused of witchcraft again? In Halloween wk, remember the brave women through history who refused to bend; whose mere presence, intelligence &voices shook powerful institutions so much they lashed out to silence, undermine, arrest, namecall ‘crazy spinsters’ &burn them to death

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@dodiddydoo @doctor_rahmeh U see it as guilt tripping and manipulation, high opinion of myself projecting ur own inner fears. It not what I’m doing but when u colour everything with a fear based lens everyone is attacking u. And so u attack first. Pretty much the same story as Israel/gaza. Fear begets fear

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@dodiddydoo @doctor_rahmeh It is an anthropological observation not an egocentric self made one. When u see ‘us’ v ‘them’ u lose sight we are all the same. Tribalism binds through fear & exclusion & is the darker side of a humanity that doesn’t ask u to sacrifice anyone, but connect to others wit empathy

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@dodiddydoo @doctor_rahmeh I have worked in improving wellbeing as a dr for 8 y; THAT came from recognising the need to help improve culture for pts and drs alike; my career in medicine is over double the length of that time. I’d also point out I’m neither Arab nor a Muslim. Simply human.

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@dodiddydoo @MasterBrofessor @doctor_rahmeh this is why tribalism/division isn’t real safety nor humanity. It’s the LOSS of ur humanity. If one has to be a certain race, sex, less talented, less smart etc & remain small to deserve help & support it isn’t true ally/friendship.stop serving; BE the good human u wish u cud see

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@MasterBrofessor @dodiddydoo @doctor_rahmeh What u describe is a self fulfilling prophecy. Ur the person u describe &u become what u believe. Just because That’s how it’s been doesnt mean it’s the only way. if u zoom out enough ud see it is what guarantees the death of everyone +nobody feels safe. Be better &u’l see better

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@dodiddydoo @MasterBrofessor @doctor_rahmeh It’s truly sad to hear this because ur concerns are no different to every other ordinary person irrespective of race or religion. So I beg u to wake up and see that the only enemy is one directly impacting ur ability to live now or in the future- that’s the super rich, not Islam

[Laura Dias (Diddy) 🍉 @LDiasENT]

@Megatron_ron Hamas tho right…? 🙄

🚨🇮🇱🇺🇸 Kinda amazing that Israel has ethnically cleansed over half of Gaza and no one in our media mentions that Israel has ethnically cleansed over half of Gaza
