For 50 years, this incredible organization has preserved and shared Croatian culture through music, dance, and tradition, bringing generations together in celebration of their heritage.

This is the original image of Our Lady of Fatima, venerated in the Chapel of the Apparitions in Portugal since 1920.

Many people do not know that it was carved from Brazilian cedar wood by the Portuguese sculptor José Ferreira Thedim, who created the image based on the descriptions given by Sister Lucia, one of the little shepherds who saw the Virgin Mary in 1917.

The statue measures only 1.10 meters (about 3 feet 7 inches) and, for more than a century, it has become one of the most beloved Marian symbols in the world. It was solemnly crowned on May 13, 1946, by mandate of Pope Pius XII.

Every detail of this image speaks of simplicity, peace, and prayer. Her hands holding the Rosary continue to remind us of Mary’s call to conversion and trust in God.

L’enquête 2025 de l’INV sur le vieillissement au Canada est disponible. L’enquête « Perspectives sur le vieillissement au Canada », qui en est à sa quatrième édition, constitue l’un des aperçus annuels les plus complets au Canada sur les expériences, les points de vue et les attentes des Canadiens âgés de 50 ans et plus. Réalisée par l’INV avec le soutien de Manuvie, l’enquête de cette année révèle que :

● Les sentiments positifs à l’égard du vieillissement sont passés de 62 % en 2024 à 57 % en 2025 — la baisse la plus marquée depuis le lancement de l’enquête en 2022
● 43 % des personnes âgées courent un risque élevé d’isolement social, et 57 % se sentent seules — un chiffre inchangé depuis 2022
● 20 % des personnes âgées vivent dans la précarité matérielle, même si elles sont moins nombreuses à déclarer ne pas avoir les moyens de se payer des soins dentaires (16 % en 2024 → 11 % en 2025)
● Seules 29 % peuvent se permettre de prendre leur retraite à l’��ge souhaité

📣 Les décideurs politiques, les prestataires de services, les employeurs et les communautés ont tous un rôle à jouer pour garantir que les systèmes répondent aux besoins d’une population vieillissante.
