@ISAAC4O8 Really attributing any of that development to Steve Kerr alone is just weird casual talk. Steve isn't the only coach on the team and has made it clear that he does not take a lead role in development many many times.
@ISAAC4O8 Meanwhile, Steve Kerr himself: "We don't practice anymore. So we have to develop these 19-year-old kids who are coming into the league without much practice time... Frankly, I'm not great with it, like I'm an older coach... So I lean on the young [coaches]..."
@Nate_moseby@noidgen4 Jaylen Brown couldn't even fetch 3. No way the Warriors can justify overpaying for Trey Murphy III when they didn't even make a call to get in on a trade for Brown.
@Moursalolesalo@KlayForTrey Sengun for example has been an all-star for the past 2 years, averaging 20&10 while leading his team to the 2 seed last season. 3 years ago Alp was averaging 21&10 while Yaxel averaged 13ppg at a mid major school as a 4 year college veteran.
@Nate_moseby@mrclarkinc@GaryFromTheBay No, no you aren't getting it. This guy simulated the exact scenario in his head and knows exactly what did happen/would have happened. The sources saying the Warriors never reached out are wrong because that is something that never happened in his imagination.
@POK252 Jimmy not being there just demonstrates the reality of the situation vs the Warriors perspective. The warriors see Jimmy as a player that puts them in contention when he returns from injury while everyone else sees him as an unknown for when/if he will be back+ if he will be good
@fakelogic He signed off on a trade like that just last season for KD. Y'all genuinely make up a narrative and then run off fake scenarios to give yourselves a particular individual to take the blame. Bottom line is that MDJ, for the 4 years he has been with the team, hasn't done shit.
@sixringsofsteeI Notice how golden state doesn't have any mention of Jimmy Butler... So clearly Bron isn't considering Butler being on that team as something attractive or significant.
@30Betterrrrr Says the fans shouldn't be judging MDJ after having 4 years to do something with this team and yet somehow the pressure is on Yaxel to perform this season before he has even touched a summer league NBA court ๐น๐น
@CurryForGame@anthonyVslater ๐๐๐ LeBron probably seeing the way the warriors front office doesn't actually care about making the team better and decided to look elsewhere.
@GSWBallReport@anthonyVslater Why would they be the front runner when all they are doing is waiting for LeBron to agree to join them? If they had actually made moves then perhaps him or other big name free agents would be more confident in deciding to join the team.
@BontaHill Would be a new low if the Warriors give up 3 firsts for Trey Murphy III while being stingy about giving up assets for Jaylen Brown who got traded for only two FRPs. Trey Murphy is already 26y/o btw. That said, at least they would be doing something in that hypothetical.
@Cody07284170@BontaHill Jimmy Butler is making damn near the same amount at 37 years old just to take up an empty roster spot while Steph edges closer to his 40s. Jaylen Brown potentially still has another 6 years of high level basketball in him with a highly tradeable contract. You can't be serious.
@VoronOGT@stephenist The pacers were definitely tanking last season๐๐. Also they happen to be a fairly young team who just made it to the finals on a run where they beat the current championship team. At least they have a good reason to believe they would be in the mix again.
@stephenist But just think about it though. The Warriors were the 8 seed and were making a playoff push during the weakest strength of schedule of the season before Jimmy got injured. They were obviously on track to contend and make a deep playoff run.
