Good morning Cross-country families,
Because of the current rain and that our field is soaked, we are cancelling the practice this morning (October 2).
All flags at #VSB39 schools and District sites will be flown at half-mast - to acknowledge and pay respects to the 215 children who lost their lives at the Kamloops Residential School, their families and communities.
We will be working with our #bced locals across BC next week to organize orange shirt walk-ins to honour the 215 dead children found at the Kamloops Residential School. We are also asking school districts to lower all flags to half-mast. #bcpoli
So great! New schoolyard anti-racist mosaic (tiles made by the school kids) where Cecil Rhodes' name used to be.
Big thanks to #vsb39 trustee @reddyforchange whose advocacy helped make it happen.
