@Cephery_2 @Gobocha_ @Redheadreplica I just think that video was moreso a lapse in judgment than an indictment of his unfairness to RPGs. At any rate, it’s the only RPG review he’s made that has problems like that, so it makes me a lot more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt

@Cephery_2 @Gobocha_ @Redheadreplica I got the vibe that he was just really frustrated at the game, and that the review was born of that, it definitely felt spiteful. Who knows, maybe he’ll revisit it like he did with death stranding? Though I think all the discourse about it has made that less likely lol

As a Dunkey fan, I don’t even really like the octopath review, it’s not that funny and though I haven’t played the game it does seem like a misrepresentation. I just don’t think it’s malicious

Dunkeys primary focus has always been to entertain and make videos for his own enjoyment, I see no reason he would want to purposefully detract from the sales of any game. He just didn’t like it, that’s all

People get so weirdly combative and seem to take dunkey’s criticism so personally. Square enix does not need your help lol

Dunkey has barely even made that many serious reviews of RPGs and of the videos he has made, they tend to be pretty positive about them tbh, these ppl just wanna hate
