LELDF is proudly supporting former NYPD Sgt. Erik Duran.
Erik deserves the BEST legal defense to fight his wrongful conviction for actions he took to protect fellow officers and stop a fleeing drug dealer in 2023.
Many police-related consent decrees are not only costly for the communities they impact, but are also harmful to the police forces they target.
This @CivilRights Division @TheJusticeDept has terminated unnecessary consent decrees across the country to eliminate overreach.
When asked for comment on this repeat offender, DA José Garza blamed policymakers for not funding mental health resources. But Texas law already gave him the tools he says are missing.
If Telemacque truly needs long-term care, the DA can petition a court for civil commitment -- the one mechanism that gets a sick man treatment and keeps him off the street. Garza did not bother. He reduced the charge, agreed to time served, and put him back on 6th Street to continue stealing from local businesses and harassing service workers.
After Obama was elected (and threw open our borders), illegal immigrants started flooding into East Haven, Connecticut.
Local police officers discovered thousands of these illegal immigrants were using forged documents to obtain license plates, fake car insurance cards, and even fake driver’s licenses.
So these officers did their jobs—enforcing the law and making hundreds of arrests.
Every single person arrested for their involvement in this crime ring was an illegal immigrant — including dozens of suspects with rap sheets a mile long.
So Obama’s DOJ showed up—not to thank these four officers for their hard work in breaking up this crime ring and getting dangerous criminals off the streets...
..the Obama DOJ accused them of racism and launched a political witch hunt, charging all four men with federal crimes for doing their jobs.
Not only that, they launched a vicious smear campaign in the media, painting the officers as hateful monsters.
They were sent to prison.
They lost everything.
Now they're telling their stories—and seeking justice: A pardon from President Trump.
"They don't have the right to assault my officers!"
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin shuts down Rep. Lou Correa's talking points after the Democrat raised concerns about American citizens being roughed up during ICE operations.
REP. CORREA: "What can we do to protect the rights of American citizens?"
SEC. MULLIN: "We can protect the rights of American citizens all day long. They don't have the right to assault my officers."
Two more officers shot yesterday…that makes 5 officer shot, one dead in the last 3 days.
Please keep the two Atlantic City PD officers shot serving a search warrant yesterday in your thoughts and prayers.
Both are expected to survive the heinous attack and the dirtbag who shot them was neutralized…permanently.
While we see violent crime declining, we continue to historic number of officers assaulted and shot.
Anyone claiming these isn’t a War on Cops in America is either delusional or just a liar.
Deputy Sheriff Logan Utt kissed his family goodbye, put on his uniform, and went to work serving the people of Carroll County, Virginia.
He was murdered in cold blood on a welfare check call.
Pray for these sweet children and their mother as they now face life without him.
Great work from @CharlesFLehman: "The bigger lesson is that intelligently targeting the most violent offenders, both through deterrence and incapacitation, can yield large, durable reductions in murder."

The FBI is grateful for the unwavering commitment shown by every agency involved in bringing this manhunt to a successful conclusion. Thanks to the relentless work and coordination among the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Virginia State Police, USMS, ATF, FBI, and Surry County Sheriff's Office, this violent fugitive was safely captured.
Horrific news out of Carroll County (VA), Deputy Logan Utt was shot and killed, murdered in cold blood on a welfare check call.
The dirtbag who shot Deputy Utt fled the scene like a coward and is still at large.
Please keep Deputy Utt’s family, friends, co workers in your thoughts and prayers as the grief is unimaginable.
RIP hero…we will take it from here.
🚨MANHUNT UNDERWAY FOR COP KILLER
We join law enforcement families across Virginia and North Carolina mourning the loss of a Carroll County deputy killed in the line of duty last night.
Please pray for all the officers working to apprehend this killer.
Indiana Deputy Jon Samuelson stopped on the side of the road to help Sharod Grafton and even brought him to the hospital.
Grafton then pulled a gun and shot Jon 3 times, including through the neck.
Jon is now hospitalized and may be paralyzed from the chest down.
You probably won’t see this story in the legacy media…
Grateful to see @DAGToddBlanche take swift action to apprehend the thug who threatened to murder the wife and children of an ICE agent during protests last night.
We must have ZERO tolerance for such threats against law enforcement officers and their families.
🚨“WE WILL FIND HIM.”
Acting AG @DAGToddBlanche responds after an individual allegedly threatened to murder an I.C.E. officer, his wife, and children.
Todd Blanche says threats against law enforcement families cross a line — and federal prosecutors are treating it as a serious crime.
The DOJ says accountability is coming.
As we see massive fraud being uncovered in states across the country, let's remember what the Obama DOJ did to four men who tried to expose a massive illegal immigrant fraud ring.
The East Haven Four were politically prosecuted for exposing crime and enforcing the law.
Great question.
LELDF is highly selective about the cases we support.
We don’t defend misconduct.
We ONLY defend officers who have been unfairly targeted and politically prosecuted for lawful actions they took in the line of duty.
Please keep the brave Buffalo (NY) officer who was shot multiple times, responding to a domestic violence call yesterday, in your thoughts and prayers.
The officer was rushed to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive this heinous attack.
Officers on scene returned fire and neutralized the suspect.
While we continue to see violent crime decrease in America, the number of officers shot and assaulted remain at historic highs.
The War on Cops continues unabated, long past time for Congress to pass the “Protect and Serve Act”.
