LEND Lab MA student @nicksmagicalday successfully defended his thesis examining how different features of parent language relate to their childrenβs pragmatic development!!
Last on this semester's #MeetTheLab is Lesly, class of 2026, majoring in biochemical engineering. She plans to attend medical school to begin a career in pediatric cardiology. Lesly's interests include driving, listening to music and traveling.
Next on #MeetTheLab is Laila, class of 2026, majoring in biology with a pre-med focus in pediatrics and minoring in Spanish and COMD. She is interested in helping Deaf children and increasing the awareness of ASL. She likes doing nails, reading, and skating.
We have new #MeetTheLab faces this semester! Stephanie, class of 2025, is a PhD student in @LSU_Psychology. For @LENDlab, she collects EEG data exploring how neural correlates related to language and grammar structure vary based on oneβs native language. She enjoys pilates!

PhD student @TengwenFan presented the findings from her work with Dr. Jingjing Zhou this past Friday for @LSUcomd ! She shows how MMN sensitivity accounts for the link between phonological processing and reading development.

Next on #MeetTheLab is Jada '24 from Gonzales, LA, majoring in communication sciences and disorders. She wants to be an SLP and is interested in dysphagia. She likes to watch YouTube and go out with friends. Jada shares a birthday with @KingJames!
Today on #MeetTheLab is Lauren '24 of New Orleans, LA, majoring in communication sciences and disorders. She wants to be a clinical SLP, and is interested in feeding/swallowing, aphasia, and language development. She likes to cook, paint, and watch movies. She sang for 7+ years!
