A mass funeral has been held in Gaza City after at least 100 bodies were recovered from the rubble of a residential building targeted by an Israeli airstrike in 2023.

Qusay Muammar Helles died from injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli attack on Gaza City.

He survived the initial attack, but his injuries eventually took his life.
