We hope all gardeners had a similarly rewarding final harvest of the season!
On November 11th, we honor the courage and sacrifices of those who served, especially those who gave their lives for our freedom. Originally marking the end of WWI, Remembrance Day now honors soldiers from all conflicts who stood on the frontlines for peace.
Embrace Borrowing & Lending!

π Tackling Canadaβs Food Waste Crisis π
π½οΈ Did you know? Across Canada, almost 46.5% of food produced goes to waste β thatβs a whopping 21.18 million tonnes, with 41.7% of this food still perfectly edible! This could feed 17 million people every year. π‘
Since the 1950s, 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced, but only 23% has been recycled! By 2050, 12 billion tons will be lost to disposal.
Letβs take action:
*Reduce plastic use at home
*Support companies with sustainable practices
*Advocate for better recycling
ποΈ 62 Billion kg of Electronic waste in 2022 Thatβs enough to fill 1.55 million trucks!π

What are you going to do to reduce waste from now on?
Today, on Truth and Reconciliation Day, we honor the resilience of residential school survivors and remember the Indigenous communities deeply affected by this tragic chapter in history.
Itβs a time to reflect, learn, and take meaningful steps toward healing and reconciliation.
