We’ll be waiting for you! 😁
And for our final talk of the day, we welcome someone very familiar to the LFO members — former group member Dr. Luis A. Sánchez, now at Calsens S.L., Spain.
Title: "Ad-hoc photonic sensors for advanced monitoring".
Great to have him back with us — looking forward to this one! ✨
🚀 Exciting news!
On Oct 16, 2025, the SPIE Student Chapter hosted Dr. Miguel V. Andrés, who gave an inspiring talk:
“Characterization of optical fibers and sensors based on FSBS (Forward Stimulated Brillouin Scattering)” 🔬✨
Dr. Miguel V. Andrés visited Monterrey, Mexico (2–4 Oct) invited by the OPTICA Student Chapter of @uanl for MOPM 2025. He joined the Research & Industry panel and gave a plenary talk on point sensors via forward stimulated Brillouin scattering ✨
Our Dr. Miguel V. Andrés has been visiting Mexico during September and October, meeting with @INAOE_mx, @BUAPoficial, IICO, and CIO to share the group’s latest advances in fiber-optic optomechanics 💡🔬 — including key results from the IPN-Bio project 😃
