In the run up to Drowning Prevention Week, we wanted to highlight some stats around drowning.
In this lovely weather, we notice a large increase in people relaxing in or near water. 🤽🚣‍♂️
PLEASE take care near water & don't enter water for pleasure in places you aren't allowed to

With ice still on many local roads and the temperatures dropping to below 0 again in the next couple of hours, we are advising only driving if absolutely necessary.
Stopping distances can sometimes be as much as 10x the normal and controlling a vehicle becomes difficult.
