It's so interesting to know that you can still #rosehips when they're like this - we saw them the other day that were like this and thought they were no good, but now we know that's not the case!

@jakemurray75 discovered some late Autumn rosehips while out in the forest... These will make a delicious, vitamin rich tea ❤️ #foresttherapy#healthyfood#wellness#foraging https://t.co/QTsOo1N2Kx
“Wild food is about connecting to our ancestors and to the earth we’re living on” 🌱
Such an interesting article from @guardian@NosheenIqbal@NurdinTopham ... it mentions everything we've been exploring about foraging, from food to mental health.

I just learned a new #mushroom term: Anastomosing Gills. This is when there are irregular vein like connections between the gills. This is partly why I like Xeromphalina so much :) Here's an example from an unidentified specimen from last fall. #fungi#science#keeplearning

@realMarkLloyd makes a great point about the benefit of foraging - we might be concerned that wild food is dirty (and perfect dog height!), but what about all of the pesticides that are on the food we buy in supermarkets?!

@LForaging Fry them in butter/olive oil. You could add fried bacon lardons, onion, some garlic, season with salt & pepper and parsley. Make sure they’re not too wet! 😋
Struggling to find the perfect gift for that hard to please friend or relative?
