@paulnovosad is not it endogenous? we should force random people in different spheres. also, one of the assumptions is that back to the future 1-3 versus 2 are the same, but there has to be an effect of a technological and cultural shock which differ between moving into the future or past

in this dept, and others we closely collaborate with, you will find ppl from Pittsburgh, Syracuse, NHH, Vienna, Mannheim, CEU. Previous phd students and postdocs ended up in, e.g., Reading, Cardiff, CERGE-EI, Bergamo, Charles Uni, Bologna

What abt Brno, Czech Rep, for a postdoc in econ? The market is tight, but it might lead you to new places that will surprise you! https://t.co/ODPAkeBkNK
MUNI is only 35 years young, but the dept is quickly rising in research, competitive grants, international networks (e.g., ESPE will be here in a coupla years)
@cremieuxrecueil what was their starting point in terms of individual consumption per capita? (e.g. same statistics in previous years, govt mandates, or pre-Orban)
@paulnovosad also, should there be a revision of the limitations sections? maybe yes, but instead of proper revisions of that section, journals could introduce comments under the paper (blog kind of comments). I do not know, just talking around
@paulnovosad could the limitations section expose to indirect critiques toward the editor? E.g., the editor decides to accept, then referees comment on limitations section that might kill the paper, how would the editor look like?
@BosniaNTBall I doubt it was disrespectful. I think they were in the moment, and they would have "celebrated" whatever the opponent. Plus, Bosnia team is good and Dzeko is an excellent person and player, idolized by Italians (players and supporters), with Pio saying he is his reference player.
@lianda_edu I don't know this case, but similar disputes happen often. Maybe what's missing is clear guidance and a neutral mediator—perhaps the EEA for Europe‑based scholars.
@Josh_Merfeld ah! interesting question. the answer varies w many factors. e.g., there are countries where journal lists and categories, valid for promotions and hiring, are published by central authorities. A journal with a 1billion IF is worth zero if it is not in the magic list.
