150 MPs have now backed EDM240 to disapprove the @EHRC draft Code of Practice on services, public functions and associations, putting on record that it falls way short in protecting trans people’s rights, safety, or ability to access services with dignity.

This growing number of MPs shows that concern about the Code is not limited to trans communities and activists – it is shared by a significant group of parliamentarians who see the huge risks it poses in practice.

Now is the time to act: contact your MP, urge them to support EDM240, and demand that the EHRC and government engage directly with trans communities to ensure the Code genuinely upholds equality and human rights.

But changing the Code, ultimately, is not enough.

The SCJ (FWS v SGM) judgment has been a disaster for everyone, including 1000s women who have already suffered.... losing access to WI branches and even toilet facilities, which were/are being forced to change to gender-neutral.

The law must be changed - gender critical ideology law is a BAD LAW - the last 14 months are testimony to this fact.

Have the Supreme Court's judgment (FWS v SGM) and the EHRC’s Draft Code made obtaining a Gender Recognition Certificate impossible?

This situation presents a classic catch-22 that warrants more public attention.

To get a GRC, you must live in your acquired gender for two years. That’s the law.

But now, the EHRC’s draft Code of Practice says you can’t.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission’s 2026 draft Code (following the Supreme Court’s For Women Scotland ruling) tells service providers they must ban trans people from spaces aligned with their acquired gender, regardless of whether they hold a GRC, if they want to maintain a single sex service.

How can anyone live in their acquired gender when the law bars them from living in a gendered society?

The GRA was born directly from Christine Goodwin’s 2002 victory at the European Court of Human Rights. She argued - and the Court agreed - that forcing a trans person into “an intermediate zone" as not quite one gender or the other is no longer sustainable.

The UK Parliament heard that. The GRA was passed.

Twenty-two years later, we are back in that intermediate zone.

A third category from which (technically) they cant apply for a GRC, nor if they hold a GRC, satisfy the conditions of the Statutory Declaration.

The 40-day parliamentary scrutiny window for the EHRC Code of Practice is open now.

This is the moment to act.

Write to your MP explaining your concerns, and encourage others to do the same. Raise awareness on social media and in your community.

Because a Gender Recognition Certificate that no one can realistically obtain is not legal recognition….it’s a locked door with a sign that says “push.”

Today, the EU's Court of Justice ruled that Hungary's so-called "child protection" law violates EU law. The verdict is clear: equating LGBTQI+ people with paedophiles is not child protection. It is discrimination, and it breaches the EU's own Charter of Fundamental Rights.

This was the largest human rights case in EU history. All 27 judges sat for the hearing and 16 member states joined the case against Hungary. The EU stood up, and today it delivered.

The law has been used since 2021 to ban LGBTQI+ content from schools, media, and public life. It does not protect children; rather teaches them that some people are worth less.
If Hungary refuses to change the law, financial penalties follow.

This ruling matters beyond Hungary. Across Europe, rights are being tested. Laws like this do not appear in isolation. They are part of a strategy, and the only answer is a Europe that refuses to back down.
