A very happy International Day of the Midwife. To all my top colleagues who love the job and go above and beyond for the families they support.
Also, for providing endless excellent stories that only a midwife can… #IDM2023#midwifestories#bestjob
Back in today. One day off is not enough to get on top of the house/child/school/shopping/washing admin. I need at least 2 in a row and 3 before I manage to drop my own shoulders beneath my ears.
Morning! One day off then back in. One day is not enough. I need at least 2 in a row to feel like I’ve at least caught up on the house stuff, let alone dropped my own shoulders beneath my ears.
Taking some of the kids to see Black Adam this afternoon. Hoping it’s a good distraction from thinking about H sailing. Might eat my own body weight in popcorn #rnlife
It’s time to bring the winter clothes down. And the camping stuff too. I am (quite madly) taking some children away for 2 nights tomorrow. Rain forecast. Of course.
We have quite a few hatchlings 🐌 Anyone local is welcome to some Giant African Land Snails. They do get quite big….
I certainly do not have room for 38.
Snail doula here 🙋🏼♀️
Bluebells giant African land snails have hatched!
She’s wagging her finger at them saying “You were all unplanned! So reckless!”
🤣

Our eldest children, twins, were 24 yesterday. Today I feel much older 😦 I had 3 children by that age. One has just joined @MetFilmSchool to do his masters and the other has just finished a masters in Bournemouth uni. Such different life paths.
