Precision medicine in type 2 #diabetes: the causal analysis by Güdemann et al demonstrates that SGLT2 inhibitors are effective in older adults with #T2D but increase genital infections and #DKA risk https://t.co/F4eYeybKNi 🔓 @ExeterMed@LGuedemann@angusgjones
#DUKPC is ending with a bang as we hear from @angusgjones, giving the RD Lawrence lecture.
The majority of #T1D is diagnosed in adults. But misdiagnosis is all too common ➡️incorrect treatment & a misunderstanding of adult onset type 1. Dr Jones wants to rewrite the story.
Why does it indeed take so long to get a diagnosis when one's pain is life destroying? When will countries around the world be ready to put #endometriosis on the agenda? What more do you need by now?
Very happy to see some of my previous research on composite indicators published. It’s not related to medical research, but generally a good reminder why it is important to look at data quality first, before any statistical calculation.

We studied the performance of different construction methods for a provider preference-based instrument. Learn more today in the causal inference 4 session at #ISCB44 and see our pre-published paper: https://t.co/ToEIROU1B4
What an amazing privilege to be writing my PhD thesis in the Devon countryside. After 4 days of self-chosen solitude, I have convinced myself that the cows are cheering me on for every written word.

New research from @NicholasJohnMe1@Exeter_Diabetes just published in @DiabetesCareADA shows that the presentation, genetic susceptability and rate of C-peptide loss of robustly defined adult-onset type 1 diabetes is not altered by onset age https://t.co/1lYGYRMB4c
