@JamesPleickhar2 That’s not true! I’ve taught history 25 years and the declaration of independence is in the Indiana State standards in grades 5,8 11, and 12! I don’t know a single history teacher who teaches US history who doesn’t teach the declaration!
@NikiValente69 Oh I wish it wasn’t true. All the major news sources are reporting it! ABC, WSJ, Reuters, etc… and the White House response is basically yes we did it out of concern for the “health and safety of the American people”
This is such a bad idea on so many levels.
This is certainly not good for kids, families, communities, or Indiana.
Education must be prioritized as an investment for all.

I'm your neighbor. Your coworker. Your kid's teacher.
I'm running for Indiana governor because Hoosiers deserve one of *us* in the Statehouse.
Someone who leads with common sense not chaos. Someone who will stand up for Hoosiers’ rights and liberties.

Indiana families overwhelmingly choose traditional public schs. How does defunding traditional public schools (see SB 398 below) help our kids, communities and state ?
Pay attention to HB 1449. It’s life-changing for students in poverty. The bill would auto-enroll eligible students into the 21st Century Scholarship Program. As an educator, I know firsthand the opportunity this would provide for so many.
Kids. First. Always.
