My beloved husband @RGT_EdD was laid to rest yesterday with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Grateful to his former colleagues @RedBankSup @JosephIsola and Dr. Jay Majka for traveling from NJ early in the morning to attend.

One of the nice benefits of Freehold Borough having a close sister district relationship with New Taipei City is being invited to the occasional diplomatic reception. This evening attending the 112th National Day of ROC (Taiwan) celebration at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC.

These three West Point cadets allowed me to take a photo. I asked what brought them to the diplomatic reception this evening. All three are from Taiwan and attend West Point as international students. Probably looking at a few future Generals.

Pleased to meet with Linda and Rich Berthy of the Foreside Foundation in NYC today. The Foreside Foundation funds Freehold Borough students through the Tomazic Family Scholarship and has been an ongoing contributor to the work of the Freehold Borough Educational Foundation.

Attended the Awards Ceremony at Freehold HS this evening. Presented the Tomazic Family Scholarship funded by the Foreside Foundation to two former Freehold Intermediate School students, 12th graders Destiny Claudio and Joe Berryman. Will present to two 8th graders next week.

Out of all those teachers nominated by schools around the state last year, we now have the one, official, New Jersey Teacher of the Year. What a distinction. Look at these past winners. It’s nice to see the state recognize all types of jobs and levels.
