Enjoying picnics this week with students in each grade level who raised at least $200 during our Walk-a-Thon! The weather is cooperating nicely...and I LOVE the chance to eat with my Tanglen Tigers! π #TanglenPride
Thursday after school, a group of teachers and I helped escort the seven ducklings which recently hatched in our courtyard through our halls to reunite with mama duck outside, so they could head to the pond! Have a happy life, our little Tanglen ducklings! #TanglenPride
Friday, March 22, was our annual Sixth Grade vs Staff volleyball game during our Tanglen Pride assembly. It was the closest game yet in the five year history of the event. Great sportsmanship and GRIT was modeled on both sides of the net. #TanglenPride
As first graders continue to go BANANAS OVER BOOKS, I have enjoyed sharing with them one of my favorite picture books by Derek Anderson, "Gladys Goes Out to Lunch." #TanglenPride
I popped 24 lbs. of fresh popcorn and handed out almost 300 bags of it to celebrate conferences yesterday! The party continues...conferences are from noon to 8:00PM today. The Tanglen team looks forward to meeting with you to discuss your wonderful children. #TanglenPride
One of my highlights is reading in each classroom during the first few weeks of school. These first graders had just heard me read "How Full is Your Bucket for Kids" and we were "secretly" discussing ways to fill a teachers' bucket. #TanglenPride π
At our block party, two students purchased at our silent auction the opportunity to put a pie in the face of our media specialist, Mr. Klauk! π

For the first time since our reconstruction a few years ago, Tanglen had a momma duck lay her eggs and hatch them in our courtyard. Thanks to some dedicated staff members, we helped them safely out of the area to begin a happy life beyond the safe walls of Tanglen. #TanglenPride
Mrs. O'Neil's second graders met with their buddies from Ms. Deehr/Hovanetz fifth grade class for a cup building challenge. Without using hands, and only a rubber band and strings, they needed to work together to build a pyramid of cups. Awesome team building! #TanglenPride
Today Ms. Rossow's class was honored by a visit from Esther Begam. Mrs. Begam is one of our GRIT wall honorees and the great-grandmother of one of our Tanglen Tigers. #TanglenPride
