When drought hits, locusts swarm, or other natural disasters arise, family livelihoods are negatively impacted. Life In Abundance works to combat these challenges by helping local churches start table banking and self-help groups so people can thrive in all seasons of life.
Some of our staff have recently been reflecting on the Lord's blessing for his people in Numbers 6. May this be true for you today: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Dr. Hesbone Kang'e joined us as our new CEO last August. Since he started, he says he's witnessed the Lord's faithfulness. We're grateful for how God leads and provides. #LifeInAbundance
At the end of a 5-year strategic plan (from 2017-2021), we celebrate God's faithfulness and how we've been found faithful. We grew from a team of 80 to 135 staff members. We raised almost $15 million to fund LIA's work. And we served over 779,980 people. https://t.co/cXdUavNdl7
In 2021, we were able to serve 27,275 orphans and vulnerable children and their guardians through our wholistic social engagement programs. See more numbers and read stories in our annual report. https://t.co/cXdUavNdl7
We're excited to see and celebrate what God has done through LIA this past year. These numbers represent individuals, churches, and communities in Africa and the Caribbean that are abundantly loved. Read more about our 2021 impact in our annual report: https://t.co/ahdYkjWzF9
Living in a sinful world means there will always be darkness to deal with; crisis to combat. Yet our prayer is that people will also see the hope God offers. #LifeInAbundance
Orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) care is a key part of our social engagement work as we defeat poverty and restore dignity. Read how one OVC project has empowered children in Ethiopia by visiting our website now.https://t.co/Lh7uvL653F
We asked some of our LIA partners why they care about the work we do. Here's what one of them said: "God has called us to go to every nation. LIA goes where others will not. Building sustainability and strong foundations to grow on is so important and LIA does that well."
We are so looking forward to our Climb for Mosiro event taking place in Kenya next week! Please pray with us for travel and health protection for our 16 climbers and for a great time of fellowship on the mountain. Pray also for the Mosiro community the event is supporting.

Our thinking shapes our doing. LIA's trainings are events where biblical truths are shared and mindsets are often changed. We see wholistic development and societal impact in communities because sitting in sessions can lead to taking important future steps. #LifeInAbundance
We can easily overcomplicate missions and transformation. Yet when we turn to the gospels, the beauty is that it's simple. Our goals should match Christ's. Our way of doing ministry should look like how Jesus did it โloving the people in front of us. #LifeInAbundance
The fruit of the Spirit, the armor of God, spiritual gifts and disciplines, the gospel messageโlocal church leaders already have all the tools needed to bring transformation in the communities they love and serve. We come alongside them to help make sure they realize it.
โThe mandate to take care of the poor, the vulnerable, the widow, and the orphan was not given to government or public service institutions, it was given to the church.โ - Jay Muindi, LIA staff member #LifeInAbundance

Poverty causes you to shrink; to lower your head. It quickly becomes a downward spiral of focusing on the dirt in life. At LIA, we want to be the friend that helps lift people's gaze. Seeing beyond immediate circumstances to the abundance of God's kingdom changes everything.
We know that God works in powerful ways when the Global North and Global South partner together to bring hope and change to the poor and vulnerable among us. Read some stories about how we've seen this happen recently through BeFriend Adjumani: https://t.co/pZuhqi3P1J
God has good things planned for us. More than we could ask or imagine. Miraculous, transformative things. Here's to holding unswervingly to that hope, because he who promised is faithful. #LifeInAbundance#Hebrews10
