@CeliaBedelia I really want to visit Utah (did visit SLC on a layover once); it looks so beautiful! I've just entered the dinosaur stage of my life with a newborn baby and his many many dinosaur outfits 😅 So a trip to dino land would be appropriate 😁

@FreddyLA7 The Finger Lakes region in New York, especially Watkins Glen for a great hike through a gorge with waterfalls. Letchworth State Park is beautiful too. Upstate NY is amazing.

@Solfisk The Mac in Dutch. The McDonalds drive through is officially called McDrive. As (one of) the first drive through in the country, many people use McDrive as the default for any kind of drive through 😁

@potatoslav I love that! It's how I grew up in the north of The Netherlands and now I miss it living in NY. Those long summer nights are amazing. And in winter you wonder why it's still dark at 8:30 in the morning.

@CeliaBedelia Oh one very important point: Dutch hagelslag is made with real cocoa butter, while American chocolate sprinkles are mostly sugar and corn syrup.

@CeliaBedelia So your ideal place to live would be warm, has plenty of gluten-free options, doesn't get tornadoes or landslides like SC, and is close to Christmas markets. Berlin is three of those, with the occasional summer heatwave.

@CeliaBedelia I always bring hagelslag back to the US after visiting home. I can't go there till the end of this year, but I can order hagelslag and other goodies online from two Dutch stores in Michigan 😃

@DuperVibes @CeliaBedelia I'm not expecting my small town on Long Island to be exciting on NYE (or any day really), but even NYC is tame compared to Berlin.

@CeliaBedelia It's similar in the Netherlands, although not as extreme as Berlin. My whole life I celebrated NYE with fireworks, so seeing nothing here came as a shock. We're off to NYC now to enjoy fireworks in Central Park! On the 4th of July I go outside just for the smell of fireworks 😄
