Even though I stared into its eyes
It sounded like it was crying out to God
God was up in heaven
It heard the sound coming out of its beak
Its long beak

By Eileen Sepulveda
#poetry#poems#theraven

I was coming back from the store after buying a beef patty with cheese and cocobread and a can of gingerale
Its bird mother or
Its bird son or
Its bird daughter or
Its bird grandmother
The sound was the same each time
The sound was the same each time
The sound was the same each time
Each time I stared
The sound was the same
I stared at the bird
It hopped a bit

At a cafe in Paris and talk with our Mouths and Voices
Move our Lips
