This is Mr. Joseph Ehiabhi(I don’t know if I spell that right), he used to live in our family house, No.1 Obadina’s street, Apata. Ibadan.

He is our father when our parents were not around, when our parents are not looking, when our parents needs the tough hand, I want to give him his flowers today by recognizing his discipline while growing up.

He is a father that doesn’t need your mother’s permission to step in as a father for a number of us with an absentee father on Obadina’s street from the 90s through 2000s.

Every children born in the 80s, my age and below in that area, knows him
You want to know how we didn’t turn bad even though we were raised at ECOMOG junction in Apata, this is the man.

He doesn’t smoke so we dare not move closer to the swamp of smokers, he doesn’t drink in our presence, as a matter of fact I became a man before I see him drink, we dare not play past where he can see us, he is a true figure of a family man

We learn family management secretly from him, despite not having much, he never left his family unlike our own fathers.

He inspired me with his Agricultural side hustle, I see his very hard working wife, sell every seasonal agricultural product, from tomatoes, to roasted corn, she is never idle.

My mum said she helped back me when I was a baby to assist her, with his Lebanese 6-6job, this man sent all his 5 children born in our family house through university, non of them ever turned bad

He harbors family children in his room and parlor apartment, he is a lover of God, he attended one church since I had known him, he stayed loyal to that man of God from their living room to a big building in agaloke, despite the fact that agaloke is far, he stayed steadfast and continued going every Sunday with all his family at once

We loved their dedication to their church we follow them sometimes, no one who lived in Obadina street form 1980s to 2000s won’t know him.

I can go on and on writing about this man, from me one of your most stubborn sons, I say thank you for the discipline, it never left me and my siblings, it’s been a while we’ve seen, but trust me, you deserve to be called a FATHER

I represent every child that grow up on that Obadina street and we say, Thank you sir, you are our greatest father player of all time.

When I started dating in 300lvl...
Everything was going smoothly for several months until we started having some issues... The issue was very long and she threatening me with breakup.

She wrote this long WhatsApp message and sent, the moment I read it I was heartbroken.

I went to her hostel and begged her, normally no be that kind person I be, normal me don't care.

I pleaded and she accepted me back..

Few months passed and we had another argument, she did the same thing, it broke me and I went ahead to beg her, she started doing like princess and accepted me. This girl is so pretty.

The third time she did that, I just replied with ok.
Come over and pack all your stuff, I'm done.
I blocked her on WhatsApp

Few days later, her roommate told me she was sick and couldn't go to class, I asked why and she said she didn't say anything, she just started crying at the middle of the night.

I told her to tell her to come see me.
She came and I already packed her stuffs, the moment this girl entered, she started crying..

I knew she regretted her actions, so I told her if we having an argument, let's solve it as an adult rather than threatening me that you'll break up.

I didn't know why she was crying cos I'm not giving her any financial support or sexual, I made my terms known before we started. But she said I cared and I'm her biggest supporter.

That was how she stopped those childish act, we've been together for almost 2yrs now and we barely have arguments that lasted a day...

I hope it works out well at the end.

When my mother left my father, he was pained.

But he didn't go to beg her to return.

After some months, he asked his kinsmen to accompany him to retrieve the bride price.

And he never remarried until his death.

I grew up without a mother from age 9.

Today, I have solved many marital issues.

And I am highly sort after.

And I married a lovely wife.

My marriage has lasted more than my late father's marriage.

And my loving father had 6 children.

Even in death, he's still more successful than I am.

“A Lesson I Will Never Forget ❤️

Last Thursday, around 4:00 p.m., we were called to the hospital to donate blood for my younger sister, who was about to undergo a C-section.

When we got there, they tested our blood, but unfortunately, none of us had the matching blood group. I decided to rush back to the market so we could find other relatives or friends to come and get tested. Time was running out.

On my way, around Danjar Yankura by France Road, a traffic officer stopped me for allegedly making a wrong turn (changing direction).

I was already stressed and worried. I explained to him that I wasn’t trying to be difficult, I was only in a hurry because my sister urgently needed blood for surgery. Instead of listening, he asked me to “settle” him. I only had ₦150 in my pocket, and I told him that was all I had and I couldn’t give it away because of the emergency. He then said I should wait for his superior officer (OC).

When the OC arrived, I explained everything that had happened. He asked me a simple question:

“What blood group is needed?”

I replied, “O positive.”

He looked at me and said,

“That’s my blood group too. Let’s go to the hospital.”

I was speechless.

He followed me to the hospital, donated his own blood, and that blood was used for my sister’s operation.

By the grace of God, the C-section was successful. Today, both the mother and the baby are safe and healthy.

That moment changed the way I see people.

If someone had told me before that a traffic officer would personally donate blood to save a stranger’s life, I might not have believed it, especially with all the negative stories we often hear.

This experience reminded me that everywhere you go, you will find both good people and bad people.”

Moral lessons; We should never judge everyone by the actions of a few. There are still kind-hearted people who are willing to help without expecting anything in return.

May Almighty Allah reward that officer abundantly, protect him, bless his family, grant him success in his work, and continue to use him as a source of goodness for others.

Humanity still exists. Hope still exists. And kindness can come from the most unexpected places. ❤️
