@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin And the bond that you refer to, has nothing to do with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, it is just coincidence that they are both the same year
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin I dont see the date 2015 referenced on this. if you look at some of my other replies I do reference that it was 2015 that the bond was finally paid off and therefor anyone who paid UK tax before this tax year contributed to it
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin After just speaking to my big sister (she is an expert on this) and she says that you should have quoted 1967, not 1937. Again Britain tried to stamp it out but failed, due to not wanting to interfere in local sensibilities
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin I was actually referring to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, as there were still loopholes after 1937. These were closed by this legislation.
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin so where it did continue from 1837 to 1914 in the British Empire?
No if's, no but's, no arguments that is just a fact.
There is maybe one place, and GB did try to stamp it out but failed. I have just googled it, and it does not come up......,
Do your research.......
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin as I have said you have headlined grabbed without looking at the back story, I was hoping that you were going to come back with some details but sadly not
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin Bahrain was not part of the British Empire, it was a British Protectorate, which from a legislation point of view is a big difference, I expected you to pick me up on that. Again go research why it continued, and again probably not the answer you expect
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin yes but not the detailed answer I expected from you. Why did it take 18 years to close the loopholes?
Maybe go and research it. It is surprising and not the answers you maybe expect
@bro69018@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin Britain stopped paying the bonds which were taken out to compensate slave owners, in 2015, so any tax payer over late 20'sin age, has indirectly already paid into these bonds
@Euro_toff@FergusMason25@KonstantinKisin The 1937 legislation came in to stop loopholes that was allowing the slave trade to continue in Nigeria and Bahrain only
