To get this shot I had to park illegally, run out in the pouring rain, walk almost a mile only to realize I forgot my memory card, buy a memory card, go back to this spot, back to wallgreens because the friggen memory card was bad, then back here to fight with an incredibly fogged up lens for anoth half hour. I was absolutely drenched.

I'm almost certain that the primary target of the most recent Russian attack on Kyiv was one or both Patriot batteries, which wouldn't be the first time. It tells how concerned Russians are and how hellbent they want to remove that air defense system from the table. The Patriots obviously perform exemplary. This very attack by the Russians paraphrases that fact, otherwise they wouldn't go that length, twice.
They will likely try it again and that has an advantage and gives opportunities. It draws their fire away from the fights in the east and south. And it aids to improve an already excellent air defense system. I'm sure the US-engineers collect valuable data and there is always room to improve war tactics.
Only the great people of Kyiv have to endure this terror, since the debris of the neutralized Russian missiles and interceptors are also not without danger. But when I hear stories that many of them walk with a big smile through the streets today, then I'm sure that they will endure this, too. Thumbs up to them and remember, you are not alone.

As a college student, I was inspired by Studs Terkel’s book, Working, which chronicled what ordinary people did for a living.
Working: What We Do All Day from @HGMedia is a new series that builds on that idea – sharing the stories of people from different walks of life, and giving you a window into the jobs they do every day. https://t.co/USAoi7CkB7

This is the Baltic Way. On 23 August 1989, two million people joined their hands to form a human chain spanning 675.5 km across the three Baltic States of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The protest was against Soviet oppression, and to support the independence movements of the three States and their desire to escape communism.
