Martin Newell in London, at the second of two Cleaners From Venus shows at Bush Hall, backed by The Gardeners. Simply fantastic. He may not be a huge fan of touring, but he always seems so excited to be performing; it’s great to see the sold-out crowd’s enthusiasm both nights.
It's never too late to release your first album. Major congratulations to the legendary Marshall Allen, who turned 100 last year and debuts 'New Dawn' today.

Ok I missed the Mellencamp set at Blossom last night so I missed the drama over him covering All Along The Watchtower prior to Bob Dylan opening the show with it. Always good to see Bob though. My first time catching Willie. Still surreal to see Dylan with my cell phone intact 😂
It’s been a very busy (and hot) week, but I managed to find time to chat with Scott McCaughey of @LLYFF89 for the radio on @WRUW ahead of the Young Fresh Fellows’ Cleveland gig on the 25th —it’ll air today at 3pm EST. (A half hour from now!)
To celebrate 40 years of the Young Fresh Fellows, Split Tooth Media presents the origin story of one of Seattle’s finest rock bands and its debut record, 'The Fabulous Sounds of the Pacific Northwest' (1984): https://t.co/Yov5addrP9
Cleveland? Philadelphia? We never sold them out in the past so why start now? Ha ha. But we know those will be great nights in excellent rock & roll cities #HappyDog@kungfunecktie
@SkrticX Was only there once, to see @TheSadies and @ScottMcMinus5 on New Year’s Eve 2019. How little we knew how much everything would change the next year. (I didn’t get to see much of the venue bc I arrived slightly late due to my car running off the road in snowstorm en route, ha.)
We're still the best! 40 years: FAB SOUNDS TOUR

@johnhunter38655 @harborcoatz@athensdemo Yeah, I think Peter Buck’s main objection had always been to things like interviewers asking him if he was influenced by Johnny Marr when R.E.M. was actually the earlier band. It wasn’t anything personal against Marr himself.
