@MerlinMyles@wode_maya Oh yes! Both are right! My sister spends at least 30 mins on her natural hair every morning to look decent enough and I am not referring to extensions of Brazilian hair that people wear and not wash their hair for weeks and months.
@cryptogalaxy101@wode_maya lol! I guess you don’t understand the concept of braiding. Of course they can, which would mean they wouldn’t wash their hair for the period of time their hair is braided. And at that age with the amount of activities at school don’t you think hygiene must be a priority?
@JasmineWmoso @wode_maya I agree! If there can be better ways of maintaining our kinky hair without consuming a lot of time and energy that would be the ideal. Can’t imagine allocating 20-30 mins for daily hair maintenance in our boarding schools.
@_RholandAA@Biretuo_KNana@cryptogalaxy101@wode_maya Get a hair cut and it can go a month without any extra care apart from combing. Braid your hair and let’s see how long it takes. If you have sisters or a mother at home ask them how long it takes to get their hair ready every morning to step out. Then consider a teen among peers.
@fitmom_rho@wode_maya Of course not! They may not be in the boarding house. Do not forget this my argument is for boarding houses not for day schools. That obviously makes my argument flawed. If you lived in a typical boarding house in Ghana I guess you will understand what I mean.
@salahudeen33 According to an Islamic scholar o spoke to some years back, in those days the counting of age for girls started after their first menstruation so technically if she was 6 years at the time of marriage, that means assuming Aisha hit puberty at age 12 then she was actually 18.
