It's not a new practice. As far back as 2005/06 I have watched coaches do this but I have never understood the effect on the players and why they stick with those kind of coaches

Our local Coaches surprises me. At our U13 game today, we scored 1-0 and after 1st half the home team coach brought cane and started flogging his players as his half time talk. Even during the 2nd half he brought a player to the touchline and was flogging him while the game is On
