Our mission is to save every one but sometimes we can't save people. This #WorldDrowningPreventionDay, with the help of Megan and Brogan Griffiths, we're sharing the story of Haydn who sadly drowned last July. This post is dedicated to him, and all those we couldn't save.

Although it’s been a busy week of rescues for Hoylake @RNLI, that doesn’t see training stop for our volunteer crew. On Wednesday our Shannon class lifeboat ‘Edmund Hawthorn Micklewood’ launched for a daytime and evening exercise.
Congratulations to @HoylakeRNLI 2nd Coxswain Tony Warburton, who was presented with the @RNLI’s Long Service badge by Head of Region Jo Partner yesterday. This accolade recognises Tony’s 30 years of dedicated volunteering with our lifesaving charity.

After 31 years of service, Iain has hung up his drysuit as @RNLIQueensferry longest serving Helmsman.
He came from a family of #RNLI volunteers that included his brother and mother. It truly is the end of an era! Have a well deserved rest Iain and #thankyou. 👏
