A solitary Eurasian lynx.

Pale coat. Bright blue eyes.

It stood at the edge of the trees.

Watching.

Then it disappeared.

A field researcher left one note:

𝘜𝘯𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘕𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.

The photograph was archived.

And forgotten.

For six years.
