Y’all, the numbers are in, and we’re blown away.
Thanks to 155 incredible volunteers, we removed 132,620 pounds of garbage from McKellar Lake in Memphis during our 2025 #AlternativeSpringBreak cleanups. That’s over 66 tons of trash in less than three weeks!
Ain’t nothin’ but a cleanup thang, baby!
The day-one totals have been calculated! Thanks to 38 volunteers from 5 colleges/universities, we cleaned up 15,028 pounds from McKellar Lake in Memphis, TN!

A crisp morning greeted us on the Ohio River today. 🥶
We're on the move! Our crew and fleet are en route to Cairo, IL, where our barges will take a breather before catching a ride to Memphis to dive back into river cleanups.

On Tuesday, a fantastic group from American Commercial Barge Line joined us on the Ohio River in Louisville. Together with 22 volunteers, we removed 4,718 pounds of garbage!

On October 11, we joined forces at Marshall Riverwalk and Ketchum Park for a day of cleaning up, digging in, and tackling invasive species!

We had our annual WIMOS cleanup in Cincinnati and these women know how to remove trash!
