@amcampbell84 Amen. I never felt emotionally or physically safe as a child. It never leaves you. I wish it weren't so...for anyone. Sending light and love to those who need! ๐
@BeaconOfHopeMHM@nate_postlethwt And failed parents who still can't and will never be able to show you compassion or love. How can you ever heal from that?
@SusannaJechPaul@nate_postlethwt lack of regret is the nail in the coffin. you think so little of me and your actions, that you're not really sorry I suffered. great. Thanks again for showing how little you still care for me. good-bye.
@nate_postlethwt that type of comment is just a way for the abuser to continue to dismiss what they did and the harm it caused. it's a way to invalidate feelings and the value of another. it's saying 'my feelings count, and yours don't and I will never be able to show you love.'
Run.
@NutinButLuv4U@nate_postlethwt sometimes we are born sensitive. sometimes a harsh environment causes it. the point is to not make one wrong for having feelings. not to yell at them for it. that is just saying 'it's your fault'...and continues the abuse.

I was flunking high school. Folks were MIA. One moved out, the other basically gone w/ new partner. My English teacher was the only one who noticed or cared. She saved me from flunking out completely.
