Billy Elliot, the acclaimed feature film set in a Durham mining community, was released 20 years ago today.
Set during the Miners’ Strike and starring Jamie Bell and Julie Walter, most filming took place at Easington, with other locations including Seaham and Dawdon.
Year group auditions will continue over the next two weeks. Students involved have all of the relevant details but should email Miss Brown at [email protected] if they have any questions.
