I just remembered how excited I was to stop using pencils and start writing with a pen in Primary 3. Funny how the smallest things felt like major milestones back then.
If only I knew 😭
It’s not ground beef it’s mince.
It’s not prom it’s a farewell.
It’s not kindergarten it’s crèche.
It’s not Santa it’s Father Christmas.
It’s not Seventh grade it’s Grade 7.
It’s not a highway it’s a freeway.
Sanuphapha.
I'm currently working in that environment, but I've lost interest in it. I do what's required of me and then go home. I no longer participate in social events, and I've mentally disconnected from the workplace. The motivation I once had is gone, and I no longer feel the need to go above and beyond.
My heart is completely broken today for Gcina Dhladhla and her family.
A South African mother went to work feeling unwell, got threatened with dismissal for being absent, and collapsed in the bathroom at Cartrack’s Rosebank head office. She lay there for hours while untrained staff fumbled, an ambulance was delayed, and management treated her like just another attendance problem. She never made it home.
This is not just one tragedy. This is what happens when a company puts profit and targets above human life.
Fellow South Africans, enough is enough.
If you have a Cartrack subscription or tracker in your car, cancel it today. Do it for Gcina. Do it for every worker who is scared to call in sick because they fear losing their job. Do it because we cannot keep funding companies that treat our people like machines.
Unsubscribe. Tell your family, your friends, your group chats. Share this post. Let’s make the numbers drop so loud that Cartrack feels it in their boardroom.
Gcina’s life mattered. Her death must not be in vain.
Today we choose humanity over convenience.
Rest in peace, Gcina Dhladhla.
Justice for you starts with every single cancellation.

In light of the ongoing conversation, let’s show a little respect & fly the South African flag correctly. Patriotism is great, but the flag does in fact have a right way up.
